QUALCOMM IS DEVELOPING TWO NEW 4NM CHIPSETS FOR WEAR OS

Qualcomm is a leading manufacturer of mobile chips and also makes chipsets for the Google Wear OS platform. We previously learned about the upcoming Snapdragon Wear 5100 and 5100+ SoCs for smartwatches. The new report now sheds more light on the features and specifications of the two chipsets.
According to a report by Winfuture.de, Qualcomm SW5100 and SW5100+ are different in design. It is reported that the SW5100+ will contain a Molded Embedded Package (MEP), in which all components are connected to each other. In contrast, the standard SW5100 will come as a Molded Laser Package (MLP) that separates the SoC and PMIC (power management integrated circuits).
The report states that the SW5100+ will also offer "ultra-low power deep sleep mode" capable of working with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth thanks to the QCC5100 co-processor. Other features of this coprocessor include the ARM Ethos machine learning core, which can accurately detect falls and deviations in heart rate.
